After the Adopt-A-Road team provided us with our cleanup supplies (gloves, vests, litter grabbers, and trash bags) we got to work on our first pickup! When a group signs up to clean up one of the six thousand roads in Greenville County, they are committing to conducting at least four pickups each year for two years at a time.
After digging through the ivy vines on the first side of our road, the cleanup picked up in pace. While it was a fairly warm day, we were eager to see what progress we could make over the course of the hour after lunch!
The team managed to fill about four and a half bags with trash from both sides of the road. While much of the litter was hidden under the ivy vines on one side of the road, we noticed an immediate difference in how our road looked! Perceptive Recruiting is looking forward to our next pick up and sharing a photo of the road sign when it is installed!
